- The opposing team must move a distance of 6’ away from the ball. The team in possession must play within 5 seconds, once 5 seconds are up, the opposing team can attack.
- Substitutions are made “on-the-fly” and do not require a stoppage in play. The player coming off must be 3ft from the bench before the other player enters the playing area.
- A goal is scored when the ball completely crosses the goal line. A goal is not awarded if the attacking team intentionally kicks the ball in, strikes the ball with a stick above the shoulders or pushes/throws the ball in using the hand or arm.
- If the ball goes out of play, a face-off will be held at the point where the ball was last played.
- There is NO offside or icing.
- If game is within 2 goals with 2 minutes left in the game, the time will be stop time.

Suspensions and Conflict Resolution
The above suspensions are only minimum standards that a referee will give. Tournament Organizers will review all actions on the floor and may increase the punishment for player’s actions.
The tournament Organizers (John La Cara and Paul Robertson) will confer on incidents and determine if further actions will be required. These actions will then be communicated to the two captains who played in the game the incident occurred and the referee involved. Captains and referee will then be able to voice their opinion and then a vote will be had by the five individuals.

Game Procedures
To ensure that all games run on time, team captains will be responsible to make sure their teams are ready to play at their scheduled times.

By following the guidelines below will help ensure that there are no delays.

- Team Captains should hand in their initial rosters with numbers 2 days before the start of the tournament, to allow time for organizers to input data in Pointstreak.
- On the day of the tournament, team captains must submit waiver form signed by all players. No player will be allowed to play without signing. Scorekeepers will be checking to make sure everyone has signed.
- Organizers will supply each team with enough roster forms to submit to scorekeepers before each game. This should be done 5 minutes before the prior game is to end.
- Teams should have their quick Pep Talk and starting lineup ready to go within 1 minute before start of the game (NO WARMUPS). Teams that are not ready to go will be given a delay of game penalty.
- Teams should start play on the opposite side of their respective players bench. After 10 minutes of play, there will be 1 minute half. With about 30 seconds left, teams should start getting their lineups ready on the floor to start the second period.
- Teams will start on the same side of their players bench in the second half.
- The last 2 minutes of the game will be stop time. Clock will only stop if ball is out of play or goal scored.
- If a 30 second timeout is taken, teams must confer.
- Once game is complete, do your final pep talk and shake hands with other team and clear benches within 1 minute; so that the next game can get started on time.
